IDEA? YES I DARE

It was said that Steve Jobs went to a plant to see a computer. When he walked into the room, he saw a half room sized computer and something bugged him. He began to think, can't this be reduced to fit onto a desk? He left.  Jobs immediately dared to reduced that half room size computer to a desk size computer, Lo and behold, he did.  Listen, sometimes a great idea doesn't have to come with a new invention, innovation or product. Finding a better solution to an existing problem with many solutions can be one of the greatest innovations ever as seen in the case of Jobs.  Most, if not all celebrated ideas, inventions and innovations are products of someone saying I dare to make life easier this way. And I'll do it come what may.  Now. can you offer a better solution to our everyday problems? Please do. It can be a solution to your empty pockets too😁

THE BOY WITH A TOY GUN

I was conversing with my brother, a chilly evening and he told me of a boy he met during a Christmas celebration. This boy bought a toy gun worth #150(Nigerian naira). This toy gun we equally played with when we were kids, have a small round of bullet worth #10, which you can shoot eight times. The  boy then gathered his friends who could not afford the gun and told them they can shoot the gun once an pay him ten naira. Happy to hear that, the kids clogged around him, each trying to shoot  for just ten naira. Now what is unique about what he did?                             👇  Each bullet consisting of eight shots costs ten naira. Now he is selling each shot for ten naira that means he's making eighty naira for each ten naira bullet he bought. This is just a kid of about seven-eight years old.  What piqued my interest about the whole thing is how he was able to come up with such an exclusiv...

It was a shout of Joy, a child is born.  Merrily welcomed into the world by parents and well wishers. Faces beam and glow with smile for the new creation. You'll become great they say  You'll become a president  You'll become a doctor  You'll become a pilot........ You're an arrow in our hands and will contend for us when our enemies strike. You're the leader of tomorrow BUT HEY KID, LISTEN . 20 years down the line you'll still be called the leader of tomorrow. 25 years down the line, you'll still look in awe how the same old faces that beamed with smile at your birth lord over your future. And you may ask. where is the future? When will I become the leader of tomorrow? How long does it take for tomorrow to come? Does it take forever? BUT LISTEN KID Don't let nobody tell you "you're the leader of tomorrow" Look them in the face and say out loud. "I'll lead today, life holds no guarantee". Do what makes sense to you and do...

WHOSE PACE HAVE YOU ADJUSTED TO?

Sidney Poitier in his book "the measure of a man" wrote that when you go for a walk with someone, two unspoken things happen. They either match your pace or you match theirs And the question is whose pace have you adjusted to?. There's a common saying that goes-"you hang around the barbers shop, sooner or later you'll get a hair cut". mm! Isn't this true? That you become like the person you hang with?  Rollo May, a great and distinguished psychiatrist as quoted in Earl nightingale's "strangest secret"-wrote a book called "Man’s Search for Himself", and in this book he says: “The opposite of courage in our society today  is not cowardice … it is conformity.” And there you have the reason for so many failures. Conformity — people acting like everyone else, without knowing why or where they are going. It is true isn't it? that people often want to just go with the crowd, to just jump on the bandwagon without thinking their destina...
