WHOSE PACE HAVE YOU ADJUSTED TO?

Sidney Poitier in his book "the measure of a man" wrote that when you go for a walk with someone, two unspoken things happen. They either match your pace or you match theirs

And the question is whose pace have you adjusted to?.

There's a common saying that goes-"you hang around the barbers shop, sooner or later you'll get a hair cut". mm! Isn't this true? That you become like the person you hang with?

Rollo May, a great and distinguished psychiatrist as quoted in Earl nightingale's "strangest secret"-wrote a book called "Man’s Search for Himself", and in this book he says: “The opposite of courage in our society today  is not cowardice … it is conformity.” And there you have the reason for so many failures. Conformity — people acting like everyone else, without knowing why or where they are going.

It is true isn't it? that people often want to just go with the crowd, to just jump on the bandwagon without thinking their destination.  And do you know why? I'll tell you! They're afraid of standing alone or been pushed into the sphere of silence.

Have you adjusted to your peers pace, have you adjusted to your parents pace, have you adjusted to the society's pace, have you adjusted to your fiance/fiancee or your spouse pace?. WHOSE PACE HAVE YOU ADJUSTED TO?  Ask yourself, rethink your destination and you may need to re-adjust your pace.

ADJUST TO YOUR OWN PACE

Why government job? Here are 5 businesses to startup in Nigeria.

While a majority of the Nigerian population are forcing their way into the public sector to meet ends, a lot of opportunities are dieing down, and remain untapped in the country.   A nation that have produced the richest man in African, richest woman in Africa  and a growing large telecom company, but yet its citizens still run to government to offer them jobs. I picked sectors in the country that have a lot of opportunities to dig into. While it might differ in location, these are the ones i found in my place. Feel free to add yours at the comment box below. 1. Poultry Farming.   With the festive periods drawing close, chicken is not only needed but eggs also. These eggs can be supplied to restaurants as well as sold to retail outlets. Believe me I've seen a lot of people make it in this business. If you start with 1,000 birds and manage your poultry farm properly, when the turnover on investment begins to come, you will be making millions annually. ...

Mangoes fall too and you've seen it fall several times, so what do you think?  Ah! eat it up right?  Well, someone saw an apple fall and made a big deal of it. he got people talking about that apple for decades and we still talk about it today. in fact, you can't claim to know the world you live in without talking about that apple. Sir Isaac Newton would pass for the definition critical thinking personified. It was recorded that Newton was taking a peaceful walk in his garden when he suddenly spot an apple falling from a tree. He sat thinking why the apple did not fall sideways or went back up, but fall down to the ground. From that unfolding, he embarked on a research and came up with the law of gravity. Yes, whatever goes up must come down.   But you know what? Apples fall everyday. Yes, the little things that happen to and around us daily are like the falling apple in Newton's garden. If only we could be ...
